The BR Endurance Series is a form of obstacle race with a set course, varying in distance from 4 to 8km with approximately +-20 obstacles on course. The aim is to complete as many laps as possible, within the given time. The person who completes the most laps, wins.

Registration - 2hrs before the start of the long distance event on the day.

This is where you will sign our waiver & collect your race bib & timing chip

Pit Area - Opens 3hrs before the start of the long distance event on the day.

What can you bring into the pit area: Tent, gazebo, table, chairs, cooler boxes, food, water, tog bags & a personality.

The pit area is a great space for kit change, refueling, hydrating & taking a quick break if you need to.

Pit area will be closed 15 minutes before the start of the event, after this time no access will be given to any non racer. NO ADDITIONAL FOOD, DRINKS, HYDRATION, SPECTATORS etc are allowed into the pit area once racing starts.

COMPULSORY Race briefing - 1hr before each event.

It is imperative that all racers attend the briefing to understand penalties, pit rules, start and finish lines and more.

Penalties & Obstacles - We have some obstacles that are mandatory ‘have to complete’ obstacles and a few that are 1 try only obstacles. 1 try Obstacles have penalties if they are not completed successfully on the first attempt.

These obstacle will vary from event to event - please check the specific event for this information.

Race format - Each lap of the Endurance race will be between 4 & 7km - our aim is that the 24hr race will be a set route of 8km

*The first lap of each race distance will be an obstacle free lap

*Each team member will run the first lap together, after that only one team member can be on course at a time.

*Team switching happens in the pit / transition area, team members do not have to alternate every lap.

*transition area is before the finish line, once you cross the finish line you are back on course & have to finish a full lap before you can go to the transition area

Last lap - The last time you can go out for a lap is 1min before the end time of your race eg. On a 4 hour event, the last time you can go out for another lap is after 3hrs 59 minutes and you have to complete that lap within 31 minutes. For an 6 hour event, the last time you can go out for another lap is after 5hrs 59 minutes and you have to complete that lap within 31 minutes.

You will DQ yourself or your team if you are not back on the half hour. PLEASE CHECK EACH EVENT TO CONFIRM THE LAST LAP TIME AND DURATION.

When you decide that you have completed your last lap, you have to go to the finish line, after the pits, and log that you are finished and won’t be attempting another lap. If this is not done, it will be recorded that you have not finished in the allocated time and you will be DQ’ed.
